Sometimes all you have to do is ask.....

I say this because sometimes it really PAYS to just ask for a discount.

First instance of saving money (in the last few days) was when I needed to buy a birthday present at Target. It rang up for 19.99 but the sign said it was on sale for 14.99. ( I was pretty sure anyway.) I mentioned it to the lady at the cash register and she changed the price. She didnt question it...she just changed it.

Second....I didn't think my Dish Network bill was right. I called (even though it is a hassle and usually takes up about 10-15 minutes) and they credited me $40 something dollars. That was worth my time.

Third....I wanted some ornaments to put in a vase for my dining room table but didnt want to spend too much money for them. I found a box that had some ornaments that were scratched and one was even broken. I thought this will be perfect. I asked and the lady at the register said how about I will give you a dollar off. I said okay...not perfect but okay. Then they rang up less than the price on the box and she gave me another dollar off. So that is my deals for the last few days.

I am always looking for a few ways to save money...and we put out a newsletter at work last week that listed other tips.

Some of them are......
hotels.com
restaurant.com (this one looked really good...I haven't tried it yet but plan to soon)
riteaid.com
retailmenot.com (for coupon codes for Home Depot and other major stores)
aaa.com
gasbuddy.com

That is all for today, but if you have some tips to save money...let me know....
